Lost N Found

Lost N Found is a five person Okanagan Country Band – If you love to dance you’ll love getting Lost N Found with them. In keeping with the RibFest tradition of featuring local talent, Kelowna’s Lost N Found generate tasteful harmonies, melodic mandolin, foot stomping rhythms and, of course, that good o’l country twang.

Lost N Found derives their sound from traditional country, alternative and new country which is well represented in their original music. They are sure to liven your party; and as is the way of country music, they will either get you feeling really high or really low.

They’re very talented and humble. Lost N Found welcome you to keep dancing while they play a mix of top country classics but it’s their originals that will really blow you away.

The Linus Band

Classic Rock, Blues, Contemporary band with decades of experience to play what most people want to hear. Influences include Police, ZZ Top, Steely Dan, Vince Gill, Chris Stapleton, Eric Clapton, and more. The band is versatile and likes to take requests. Expect to hear some of their original songs too.

Under The Rocks

Kelowna – based bluegrass group Under The Rocks will never leave you disinterested or bored at a performance. Performing original tracks alongside their own arrangements of folk and bluegrass-standards, the group has found the formula of enough familiarity and surprise factor to keep audiences guessing. Under the Rocks has built a sound that blends the decades with an upbeat energy.

Jordan Klassen (Guitar), Chris Baxter (Banjo) and James Prescott (Bass) formed as a 3 piece in 2016 and was joined later that year by fiddle player Chloe Davidson. The Band is recently finished their first full length “Live off the floor” album.

 

Room to Dance

Room to Dance features Vocalist and Lead Guitar Andy Plett and Vocalist JC Plett.

Room To Dance has a distinct sound built around the natural blend of Andy & JC’s voices, and their authentic renditions of people’s favourite cover tunes. Further authenticity is also found in Andy’s guitar sound, which he achieves by selecting from a collection of quality guitars and amplifiers. Room To Dance provides a full band sound!

Room To Dance has a huge repertoire of songs to draw from.  Witty and friendly, Andy & JC and their band use their energy, enthusiasm and musical talents and draw in their audience.

Moni Funk

The Moni Funk trio are true performers – delighting in connecting with an audience, leaving an indelible impression and genuinely entertaining.

Primarily a dance band, they are also highly versatile. With incredible three-part harmonies, Moni Funk is guaranteed to get everyone up dancing.

Great White North

Great White North lead singer is Michael Szalay. The performance is part traditional singer-songwriter solo to a full band. The alternative folk-rock music of Great White North is a one-off, unique experience. Their performance is always a hard-hitting, foot-stomping experience that teeters back and forth from a softer acoustic folk sound to a harder, grittier alternative rock sound.

N.F.A.

Hailing from the central Okanagan, N.F.A. is a rock band that features the talents of the renowned Eddi St. James, vocalist and keyboardist Guillerma “del Toro”, lead guitarist Greg “Gigi” Gaspari, and rythems from Jay Agostino.  N.F.A. has shared the stage with Foreigner, Trooper, Wild T and the Spirit, Alanna Myles, David Lee Roth, Extreme and Alice in Chains,

Rockin’ dance tunes from the 80’s, 90’s and now is what N.F.A. delivers.

RG Peever

Music that is unique in style and creativity. R.G. is an accomplished and seasoned master guitarist. He has performed many years in Canada, also playing jazz and blues fests. 

Josh & Bex

Josh + Bex are a Canadian Dream Folk duo out of Kelowna BC. Josh, with his Eastern soul-folk vibes and Bex, her melody-driven West Coast influence, together they make music that captures their tender vulnerabilities and draws listeners into their world with a deep-rooted transparency and open-hearted presence. Their sound is a unique blend of their individual histories and personal truths along the way to figuring out who they are as people, as well as song-writers. One thing is for sure—they have figured out how to collaborate with authenticity as they dedicate themselves to the creation of timeless art.

Becca Mabbett

Becca Mabbett is an up and coming folk-pop artist whose honest song-writing and powerful vocals will make you stop in you tracks. Not a stranger to the stage, her dynamic and passionate presence is captivating. Often compared to Joni Mitchell, Becca has a voice that is fresh yet strangely familiar. As a young songwriter she had many opportunities across the country playing with and opening for some of Canada’s best. Fast forward to the present; With a new album underway and a great line-up of shows this summer, her momentum is building and quickly making her a must see act in the Okanagan.

Sista B & the Boyz

Soulful…sassy…sexy! are words used to describe Barbara Samuel.  Perhaps that is why we invited Sista B & the Boyz back to play RibFest 2019 = her third time on this stage. Barbara Samuel is the soloist and as lead singer and flutist for Sista B & The Boyz.  Barbara trains both amateur and experienced singers on technique and style. Many of her students have gone on to successful careers in music.

If you are ready for Soulful, sassy, and sexy, please put your hands together for Sista B & the Boyz. 

Josh Smith Band

Joshua Smith is a Soul-inspired, captivating experience, Smith is a Nova Scotian singer/songwriter who mingles catchy clever lines and infectious vocals in the company of playful story telling.

Post Modern Connection

Post-Modern Connection is an Indie-band based out of Kelowna. Their sound is best described as a blend of indie-soul tinged with jazz and lightly dabbed in psych pop. The group gathers inspiration from artists like King Krule, Peach Pit, Alabama Shakes, and Early Eyes. Drawing on experiences from their international backgrounds, the band creates emotionally stirring music that captivates listeners.

Ellen Churchill

Renowned Okanagan jazz vocalist Ellen Churchill takes the RibFest Stage again with her brand of jazz vocals.  Enthusiasts won’t want to miss out on this homage to some of the greatest jazz vocalists of all time – Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughan.
